MAGAZINE RESERCH

Below are examples of magazine adverts for albums and tour dates of bands. As you can see they match what we have done for our magazine advert through incorporating bright colours in order for it to stand out and be noticed, for example the Band KOKO have used bright pink and blue colours which stand out amongst the collective adverts. A key theme among the advertisements also is how they have images of the album cover, this allows readers to know what to look for when buying the album in shops. As you can see on the Yolanda Brown magazine advert it establishes who she is through the cover image of her posing. This gives publicity to the artist and allows the audience to easily recognise who they are. They also include an image of their album artwork , along with HMV and a price where they can buy the album as well as a tour date for her live shows.
Bands often have specialised fonts for their name and this are evident in the magazine adverts. This way people can associate the writing with the band, some fonts really stand out with the band name such as DEAD WOLF CLUB advert. Our band have used our own orginal font on our digi pack using  our themes of colour and surreal patterns which we will use as well in our advert. Adverts also seem to be half text and half image, this way it can stand out and look good which catches the readers eye then give them enough information about the album band ect.
